All new HVAC units typically require you to register your product online to receive your warranty. Just because you were given hard copies of a warranty statement, that doesn't mean that your warranty is active. Be sure to ask your HVAC installer if you're not quite sure of the registration process for your specific brand of HVAC system.

Ruud typically offers a 10-year warranty on their residential HVAC products. To register your system's warranty, visit the Ruud Residential Equipment Registration website.

The Haier Ductless Mini Split system offers a 10-year warranty with options to extend. To register your system, visit the Haier Ductless Mini Split Registration site.

All Velocity boilers come with a standard one-year warranty. You can register your new boiler at the Velocity Boiler Registration site to take advantage of extended warranties that can last anywhere between 2 and 10 years.

Laars offers a standard one-year warranty on its new boilers. It also offers a limited parts warranty on your heat exchanger and storage tank for up to 10 years. While you don't have to register your new product to enact the warranty, it can speed up the process when you need warranty work performed. These coils come with a 5-year standard warranty, and air handlers come with a 10-year warranty. Visit the ADP Air Handlers & Coils site to register your unit within 90 days of purchase and take advantage of an extended warranty offer.

You'll want to visit the Aspen Coil Registration page to register your coil within 60 days of installation. Properly registered coils have a 10-year warranty period, while unregistered coils have a limited 5-year warranty.

You'll want to visit the Aprilaire Indoor Air Quality website to register your new indoor air quality products. Most Aprilaire Indoor Air Quality products come with a standard 5-year warranty.

Available Rebates

There are plenty of rebates and federal tax credits for your clients, and your installers, to take advantage of. Rebates are a great way to help reduce the expenses of installing a new heating or cooling system in your home. Listed below are some of the rebates offered through the ComEd Mid-Stream Program and NuComfort LLC.

15 SEER: $100 Rebate

15 SEER includes air conditioning models RA13, RA14, and RA16. These will require a matching coil and ECM blower furnace. Additionally, you will need to verify that the system matches with AHRI.

16+ SEER: $150 Rebate

16+ SEER includes air conditioning models RA14, RA16, UA17, and UA20. These will require a matching coil and ECM blower furnace. Additionally, you will need to verify that the system matches with AHRI. The models listed above are also eligible for a $300 federal tax credit. Consult your accountant for more details.

18 SEER: $225 Rebate

18 SEER includes air conditioning model UA20. These will require a matching coil and ECM blower furnace. Additionally, you will need to verify that the system matches with AHRI.

88+% Efficiency Water Boilers

Include All Shadow, Phantom, and Laars Mascot series. If your utility company is People’s North Shore, you can earn a rebate of $350.

95+% Efficiency Water Boilers

Include Shadow 150, Phantom 150, and all Laars Mascot series. If your utility company is NICOR, you can earn a rebate of $350. If your utility company is People’s North Shore, you can earn a rebate of $350.

95% COMBI Efficiency Water Boilers

Include Laars Mascot COMBI. If your utility company is NICOR, you can earn a rebate of $350. If your utility company is People’s North Shore, you can earn a rebate of $500.

92.5+% Efficiency Steam Boilers

Include Bermuda Series BSI < 300 MBTU. If your utility company is People’s North Shore, you can earn a rebate of $150.

$150 Rebate

Through People’s North Shore Utilities, you can earn a $150 rebate when you install a 0.82 efficiency Ruud Tankless Water Heater. Additionally, if you install an Indirect Storage Tank with 88+% Boiler, you can earn a $150 rebate through People’s North Shore Utilities.

Ductless Mini-Split Heat Pumps 17+ SEER 9.5 HSPF: $400 Rebate

17+ SEER 9.5 HSPF includes the Arctic Series-All Flexfit Series. Please note that all System SEERs vary by capacity and that it is important to verify system match with AHRI.

Azure ECM Blower Motor Upgrade for Existing Furnace: $100

When you upgrade the motor in your furnace to an Azure ECM Blower Motor, you can qualify for this rebate opportunity through ComEd. Additionally, there is a $50 federal tax credit for ECM motors for all furnace models.

95% AFUE Furnace: $150

This federal tax credit opportunity is available for the models R95T, R96T, U96V, U97V, and U98V. For more information and details, contact your local accountant.

95+% Efficiency Furnace

95+% Efficiency Furnaces include models R95T, R96T, and U96V. If your utility company is NICOR, you can earn a rebate of $250. If your utility company is People’s North Shore, you can earn a rebate of $200.

97+% Efficiency Furnace

97+% Efficiency Furnaces include models U97V and U98V. If your utility company is NICOR, you can earn a rebate of $275. If your utility company is People’s North Shore, you can earn a rebate of $150.

$100 Rebate through ComEd

The Ecobee 5, Ecobee 3-Lite Pro, and the Honeywell T6 Lyric smart thermostats are eligible for a $100 rebate through ComEd. Additionally, if your utility company is NICOR or People’s North Shore, your smart thermostat installation can offer you a $25 rebate. To get this rebate, this cannot be installed in conjunction with a new furnace. If you are installing a programmable thermostat, you can earn a $20 rebate if your utility company is People’s North Shore. Homeowners may also qualify for a free thermostat through the Home Energy Jumpstart Program.
